Whitetail Institute's Turkey Select Chufa attracts and holds turkey on your property. Chufa plantings are considered by many to be the number one attractant for turkey. The nut-like tubers produced by Turkey Select Chufa are scratched up and devoured. Tubers are high in carbohydrates and protein and are also great for waterfowl. Turkey Select is easy to grow and will mature in 100-120 days. It adapts well to a variety of soils and performs best in moderate-to-well-drained soils. Sandy or loamy soils tend to perform best with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. If planted in heavy clay, lightly disk the plot so turkeys can dig up the tubers. Chufa adapts to temporary or seasonal flooding as long as they are not completely submerged. Check your state and local laws to ensure chufa can be planted in your area. Made in USA.
