CVA's new HUNTER model is our most basic break-action centerfire rifle, but it's plenty of gun to get the job done for the budget-minded hunter. The HUNTER's 22" blued steel barrel is perfectly balanced in a 100% ambidextrous composite stock - making the gun incredibly quick to aim and shoot. The HUNTER is also offered in a "Compact" model, which is a great choice as a child's first deer rifle , or as a compact truck, camp, or brush gun for anyone. The barrel on the Compact is 20" versus the standard model's 22" barrel and the stock is 1" shorter as well. In the full-size "standard" model, the HUNTER is chambered in .35 Whelen, .35 Remington, and .44 Magnum, with full contour barrels. Plus every HUNTER rifle comes standard with a DuraSight® DEAD-ON one-piece scope mount.
