The Alpha Howler can be operated either by the open reed or the mouth piece can be removed and one can howl with their own voice. To use the call simply place your upper and lower lips around the black cap. Take a long, deep breath so you can hold the notes longer and begin to blow lightly. To begin blow and growl with slight pressure with lips to achieve beginning low note howl. Then gradually apply more pressure to achieve high note howl. As you let off pressure continue blowing to achieve lower notes and keep blowing and letting off lip pressure to obtain the long, low, moaning, eerie sound of a howling wolf. You can go up and down with lip pressure and blowing to achieve octave changes to higher or lower notes wanted.
