Maintaining the tactical styling and solid feel of the M&P (Military & Police) Series, the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield features a spring assisted 2.75" 8Cr13MoV black straight back blade with dual thumb studs. 8Cr13MoV is a high-quality stainless steel similar in properties to AUS-8. This steel exhibits extreme toughness and excellent edge retaining capabilities. The handles are made from fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) with rubber inserts and stainless steel liners. The blade springs open with a slight push of the dual thumb studs.
